I'm saddened by some comments I'm reading on social media, suggesting that #DumsorMustStop campaign, spearheaded by Yvonne Nelson is a pointless one. There's currently no bigger problem in ghana than this dumsor problem. It affects everything. Unless you're the 'sultan of Brunei, it will by all means economically affect you. If we look at the plethora of challenges we have in this country each one is adversely affected by the existence of this dumsor. Quite frankly I'm surprised more people haven't come out in public support of Yvonne Nelson's cause. Let me site an example. You want to tackle the issue of poverty. Government uses our taxes to sort out poverty-relief projects. Industries and big corporations pay taxes to government. Taxes can only be paid we you make a profit. Profit margins are reducing massively as dumsor gets worse. Yvonne Nelson is actually helping solve many problems aside dumsor with this campaign.
